Bionicle attracted a lot of kid’s born in the 90’s, One of those was a boy in North-western Vermont, who was familiar with kid-friendly cartoons such as Thomas the Tank Engine, Winnie the Pooh, Arthur , Rolly Polly olly, and a Life Changing Encounter with the G1 Transformers Cartoon, as well as other LEgo themes and heroes such as Rock Raiders, Johnny Thunder, and Jack Stone when everything changed.

One day in 2001, the eight-year-old boy noticed an ad on the back of recent lego magazine (shown to the left). Promptly, he had the “Bionicle Fire Kit” ordered, and was jealous that his older cousin had his Bionicle toys before he did. It would not be long, however, before the boy realized that this toy line was different than those that came before it. the mythic story of six might heroes came to light as the first comics came along that year, and thus Eric Naud was introduced to a legendary saga that would affect the course of his life, forever. expecting it to be a short run, Eric quickly fell in love with Bionicle, especially through the Mata Nui Online Game, the iconic flash game that put you on the Island of Mata Nui and traveled throughout its six villages, leaving a deep impression on the young Eric. Throughout that year of 2001, many worldly and personal changes set up the man writing this website and the building of one of the first Bionicle Museums Ever. By the end of that year, just as the boy, now a big brother to a baby sister, was ready to accept Bionicle had concluded, when he turned the last comic’s page and saw the Bohrok ad on the back. That was the moment Eric realized this saga was going to continue. The Eight-year-old Eric had no idea just how big Bionicle would become.

After Bionicle Finally concluded, nine years later, Eric (then seventeen) accepted that his childhood came to an end, however, after college (and Bionicle G2), many events happened, both on a personal and of course a world-wide level. As the boy, now a fully grown adult tried to live his life in an increasingly uncertain world that would suffer from Covid-19, real civil unrest, world conflict and the rise of authoritarianism worldwide, he could not help but look back upon his biggest childhood influence. Since Graduating from College in 2018, coincidentally right when the first 810Nicle DAy event occurred, Bionicle has, once again, had an increasing presence in his life, Especially after the Covid-19 pandemic. Since 2022, he has been a regular at BrickFair VA until its venue closure in 2026. From these events he has made loyal friends online, including some important fans of the community, which could rightfully argue is well deserved for someone who remembers his “Day 1.”

A deep thinker, Among his favorite subjects are History in multiple fronts, mythology, filmmaking, travel, and world culture. it is not surprising to admit that a lot of his special interests stem from this experience with Bionicle, which was a multicultural gathering of European folk using Polynesian Mythology as well as classic Mythological tropes. Not to mention references and similarities to film classics of old. It is not surprising that he went down studies that would lead to his career in story-telling, whether it be film, writing, comics, or music. This multi-media interest is without a doubt influenced by Bionicle’s multi-media experience through web animations, movies, books, and a TV Show in 2016.

In April 2008, He Finally Created his Youtube channel, and it was his first big step into a wider world. His earliest video on YouTube is based on the then-current Phantoka Line, and after almost two decades, the toy line is still core into his artwork. That’s not saying he’s unwilling to expand beyond stop-motion animation (though that is a true art that truly needs to be preserved), He tried making a feature length film which fell through pre-production last decade. At the current moment ERic does have a Live-action feature planned with his friends writing it.

Bionicle is truly Eric Naud’s biggest creative influence, alongside many other fandoms including Transformers, Doctor Who, Thomas ThE Tank Engine, Anime and Studio Ghibli, Avatar: the last Airbender, and many more.

A huge movie buff, Eric’s favorites are top-tier, including Seven Samurai, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Metropolis (Turning 100 years old next year!), Fantasia, alongside Lesser known masterpieces such as Once Were Warriors and the more family friendly Whale Rider. and yes, some cheesy fare including Riki Oh: The Story of Ricky, The films of Troma Entertainment, movies he considers to be the same quality as the iconic Bionicle Trilogy of 2003-2005. He does point to recent classics including RRR And KPop Demon Hunters as having similarities to the Biological Chronicle he grew up with, both films being made long after Generation 1 Finished.

At his 30th Birthday in 2023, He finally got a 3-d Resin Printer, and after learning the gist of it, to say it changed his life would be no exaggeration. He was able to open a shop on Etsy and join the ranks of Buryu’s Forges, The BioForge, CrossWire Crafts, and 0m3g4sKanohiForge, to name only a few. As Business Grew, He had to find new space that was able to safely deal with the fumes of both Resin Print and Spray Paint. Better be safe than sorry! Long Story short, after a search, Eric and his father discovered a basement area that once housed “Holographics North.” It has multiple rooms, including two that was perfect for the 3-D printers and for Painting respectively. Yet there’s another room that used to be for displaying Holograms, and it was perfect for setting up his Bionicle Collection. Throughout the entirety of 2026, Eric and those behind him have been hard at work converting the old Holographic into not only his work place, not just a multipurpose area, but also North America’s First Public accessible Bionicle Museum, The Eastern Temple of the Bionicle.

he will always remember his first sight of Bionicle in that “Fire Kit” ad, Eric would never have imagined it was the start of a lifetime’s story, in which he would actually put his old toys up in a single place for future generations to enjoy and learn from the LEgend of the Bionicle!
